If you are a new Windows user, this page may help you adjust to Windows navigation methods. Following are descriptions of mouse and keyboard navigation methods.
Mercury Direct II's Home Page is the page that appears once you have logged into the program. At the top of the page, you will find the Main Menu, which will allow you to access the various features and messages within the program. See the following section for more information on the Main Menu.
At the bottom of the page, you will see Mercury Message abbreviations (for example, <GEN> for the General Message) as well as links to other features (for example, <Product Search>) on which you may click in order to search for a product. These links offer you a shortcut to access the various windows; an alternative to using the Main Menu.
The Mercury Direct II Menu Bar is the bar across the top of your screen containing the words (menus): Home, Create, Search, Help, and Account. As you glide across the menus with your mouse pointer, the contents of the menus will display. Click on an option within one of the menus to access it. To open the Ask Message window, for example, glide your mouse across Create in the Main Menu and then click Ask.
Your mouse is used to select items on the screen. When following this help system, you will be instructed to click items. To click is to press and release your left mouse button one time.
<Tab> |
The <Tab> key is used to move from field to field within a window. If you are a new Windows user, the <Tab> key most likely replaces the <Enter> key in previous programs that you have used. |
<Shift>+<Tab> |
Pressing the <Shift> key and the <Tab> key at the same time will move your cursor back one field. |
<F1> |
When you are working in your Mercury Direct II system, pressing the <F1> key will display a help page. |
To exit Mercury Direct II, click in the upper-right corner of your web browser window or select Account > Log Out. Keep in mind that you may minimize the program instead by clicking in the upper-right corner of the window.
